Summary
The music industry from around the state, the country and the globe will be packing its collective bags and heading to Brisbane this October and here is your chance to take your music to the people that matter.
From October 18-20, 2006 the city will come alive for the 2006 Big Sound Music Industry Conference, featuring the Big Sound 2006 Artist Showcase Program. A diverse and vital part of the conference, the showcase program gives artists the chance to have their music heard by some of the industrys most important decision makers.
Showcases will be held on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 October. Last years event featured over 100 artists! Emerging, national and export-ready acts are encouraged to apply. All genres are accepted for the showcases and covered throughout the Conference with a special focus this year on Hip/Hop and Electronic artists. One conference pass will be made available to each successful showcase applicant (band or individual).
Please note: This opportunity is not limited to Queensland-based artists but they are encouraged to apply. There is no travel assistance available. Regional Qld artists are encouraged to apply and seek travel funding support for conference attendance. A limited number of showcase spots will be available for National acts.
