Summary

Quincy University is a private, Franciscan University in Quincy, Illinois that is looking for local and touring performers to play at a variety of on campus events and ongoing series. They are interested in music and non music performers and they are now booking for dates for the upcoming Fall 2007 semester and Spring 2008 semester.

Quincy University is especially interested in booking cover bands for their upcoming semesters.

  • Friday Night Live - These weekly shows are held in the student dining room, which has a capacity of 500 people. The university is looking for non music performers - such as Comedians, Magicians, Jugglers, or Spoken Word artists - and music performers - such as Country, Pop, and R&B bands - to come perform.

  • Special Events -Throughout the year, Quincy has a variety of special events, such as Parents Weekend and Homecoming, that they book performers for. Only cover bands will be considered.

  • The Hawk's Nest - The Hawk’s Nest is a small venue (100-125 people) with a coffee house atmosphere. The university holds approximately one acoustic performance per month from September through May in the Hawk's Nest. They are looking for one or two person Spoken Word acts.

Artists are compensated, and all compensation details are negotiable. Lodging can be provided for touring acts. Quincy is contracted with a national chain hotel in Quincy where performers stay. In the past, Quincy University has hosted such artists as: Venice Maki, Chad Parrone, Jason LaVasseur, Patrick Thomas, and John McLaughlin.

Please Note: Only artists who submit through the Quincy University drop box will be considered for performance. Please refrain from calling or emailing Quincy University unless you have officially submitted your EPK and have additional questions.
