Regular podcast show and 24/7 Shoutcast web station are looking for Sonicbids artists to be featured and gain exposure to a wider audience.
Celtic Roots Radio began as a podcast on iTunes (Apple Podcasts) in April 2007, with two shows. The third episode was added in October 2008 and interest in the podcast began to grow from there – reaching well over 10,000 downloads per month in more than 100 countries.
We added a 24/7 web station in 2009 – initially on Live 365 – and now broadcasting on Shoutcast.
The Opportunity
After a break of several years – during which the station & older podcasts continued to be popular – several new shows have been produced: each currently receiving more than 1100 downloads, increasing week by week.
The podcast now has more than 60 episodes, with new shows added on a weekly basis.
The Band
We are looking for artists and bands in the following categories:
Celtic, folk, folk/rock, Irish, Scottish, Cajun, Breton/Breizh, Galician, Cape Breton, Appalachian, Mountain, acoustic, singer/songwriter and (sometimes) blues.
We do NOT play any Country, heavy rock/metal or Reggae music!
