Summary
The Fevered Brain of Radio Mike has been playing his favorites and new local music mixed in with anything and everything since June of 2001. Radio Mike began his show in New York, featuring anti-folk favorites from the East Village. He moved to Austin in late 2004 and his show now features local music from almost every corner of the musical globe.
He has a particular fascination with musical contrasts (e.g. Carl Perkins and Public Enemy) to see where the muse will take him. His love of musical variety continues. Listen to the show to see what all of this means creatively and musically.
Please note that this is a podcast, not a stream, and they pay yearly fees (donations from artists, mostly) to ASCAP/BMI/SESAC. They will play anything and everything as long as it's good, except for loud screaming metal, which doesnt seem to mix in with everything else. There are exceptions to every rule, so contact them with any questions. A new show is uploaded every two weeks with a recorded interview posted on off weeks.
