Summary

RadioRockCafe is a registered company in Montreal within the province of Quebec in Canada. Every Sunday, RadioRockCafe will give approximately 2 hours of excellent, indie rock music. For more than a year now, their station has been devoted to bringing Indie music to more and more listeners using the Internet.

/n/nRadioRockCafe is a registered company in Montreal within the province of Quebec in Canada. They have a show called Indie Time. It consists of getting indie groups from the rock scene known. Every Sunday, RadioRockCafe will give approximately 2 hours of excellent indie music. The music of these groups will be on air 24/7 and also be part of the special request playlist. They also host interviews through Skype with bands when featuring full album presentations.

For more than a year now, their station has been devoted to bringing Indie music to more and more listeners using the Internet. RadioRockCafe is a 100% rock internet radio station, happy to say close to 50% of it’s programming is based on independent music. Since January 2009, RadioRockCafe got over 7 million hits on their website. They have also created a new website for 2010 in order to offer more exposure to bands, combining ideas from MySpace, Youtube and Facebook. Anyone can join the site for free!

RadioRockCafe has a unique special request system. This special request system is not an email system requiring someone to take the request. Instead, it is all automated system; once your music is included in their library, your fans will be able to do a request and hear it within minutes. This is also not a voting based system requiring listener voting to get your song on the airwaves. As mentioned previously, as soon as your music is in their library, it becomes available for your fans to request and hear. While there is not formal compensation they are members of, and report airplay to, SOCAN (the Canadian performing rights organization for royalty distribution similar to ASCAP and BMI).

Selected artists will have an entire album put into airplay rotation (or multiple albums if you have more than one), and not only 1 or 2 songs like most radio stations. They believe that if you as an artist thought the songs you've put on an album were good enough to be there, it’s good enough for their music library! Unfortunately for quality and legality reasons, they do not accept MP3’s submitted via email or any other fashion other than physical CD. Selected artists may be required to mail a physical album CD to the promoter for airplay.

In addition, every half hour on our station (top and bottom of the hour) their broadcast system takes 2

songs at random from the Indie listing and broadcast them on-air giving the Indies even more exposure. These random selections are also based on some rules to give each band the same exposure).

Furthermore, they offer the possibility to record jingles for the station. For example, "I'm Ben from ____ and you're listening to Radiorockcafe.com!” As simple as this may seem, a lot of their listeners love the jingles already submitted and played, which provide additional exposure. They recently had the chance and pleasure to work with many bands either by doing shows with them, participating in events or just having them on the website to chat and talk with their listeners.

They really hope to hear your music on their airwaves soon, and able to share your passion with their listeners.
