For the first time in NSW, Australia, steam trains will be running to the sounds of blues music in Newcastle on November 22nd. Railway Blues is a charity event to raise funds for The Iris Foundation and their suicide prevention programs. They are looking for volunteer performers in the genres of blues, roots, jazz, swing and vaudeville to be a part of this historic event.

The event will run from 11am till 4pm and includes interactive entertainment where crowds will be able to ride the train while listening to musicians perform live onboard. Held on the grounds of the historic Richmond Railway Museum, bands will perform on a traditional stage, as well as interact with those who board the steam train. Four trips are planned for the day, each with a different musician on board.
