Summary

Rara Records is an independent Dutch record label. Its focus lies on alternative music. Ard Boer (former label manager of Silent Minority), Rob van Essen and Reinout Tiekstra founded the label in 2004. Its roster includes Blues Brother Castro, Propeller, Ro-Robot, Vladimir and ET Explore Me.



Rara is distributed by Konkurrent in the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg). In Germany, Austria and Switzerland Rara has teamed up with Decoder Records. IGF Entertainment takes care of promotion and management for Blues Brother Castro in the US. Additionally, Rara Records has recently joined forces with Chrysalis Music who is taking care of the publishing side of the label's catalog.



We are looking for talented new alternative bands wanting to get their music heard in The Netherlands and further. Artists on our roster have toured the US, Spain and Germany.
