Realize Records Songwriter Contest

Realize Records was formed in Los Angeles, CA in 2000 as an alternative for independent musicians. In 2003, Realize opened its east coast office in the greater Wilmington, DE area and have been aggressively developing artists who deliver depth in songwriting and are spectacular live performers. The company consists of music industry veterans and critically acclaimed artists. In 2006, the label expanded its roster and is seeking songwriters to write for artists on the label.



Submissions must fall under the following categories Pop, Rock, R&B, Punk, Country, Jam band, Electronic, Folk



Winners of the contest will have their song recorded by a Realize Records artist and have their song placed on the artist�s national release. The winners will also receive a one-year contract with the label to be placed on the label�s songwriter roster. We are not limiting the amount of artists we will select as winners because we are seeking to build relationships with songwriters in various genres and will keep searching until we find writers that will be a good match for the label and our artists. All songs/tracks will be credited and compensated on a percentage royalty basis.



Each song will be judged on its artistic merit, originality, craft, lyrics and market potential. Songs do not have to be professionally produced. We are not looking for singers so the vocals do not need to be perfect. Bands who would like more exposure by having their songs covered are also welcome to submit.
