Summary

The Red Line Tap hosts music performances 7 nights a week. Acts are booked up to 3 months in advance, but generally about 1 1/2 months to 2 months out. The Red Line Tap is on the north side of Chicago, near Loyola University. For regional/national acts, some local draw is expected.

Compensation varies based on show, from door deals to guarantees./n/nThe Red Line Tap is host to music performances 7 nights a week. Acts are booked up to 3 months in advance, but generally about 1 1/2 months to 2 months out. The Red Line Tap is on the north side of Chicago, near Loyola University.



For Regional/National acts, some local draw is expected. Acts must also be 21+.



For any local (50 miles of Chicago) acts or support acts, a local draw is expected. Compensation is provided and varies based on the show, including door deals and guarantees. Typical sets, are from about 35 to 40 minutes for support and opening acts and 1 hour for closing/headlining acts. There is a full PA and 4 monitor mixes on stage. Red Line does not allow outside sound people to use their system.



From punk to funk, The Red Line Tap has something for everyone. In the beginning of 2007, The Red Line Tap's Stage was given an overhaul, with new lighting, soundproofing, and an improved PA system, making performances in the Red Line Tap more enjoyable not only for customers but for the acts playing there as well.
