RotkÄppchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood Film Licensing

This is a contest for unsigned artists have a shot at their big break by submitting their music for an online contest. A song from each winning band will be eligible for inclusion in the movie and on the various artists soundtrack to RotkÄppchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood. Winners will be announced after review by the film's producers.



RotkÄppchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood is director Harry Sparks' epic, modern retelling of a classic fairy tale that has inspired many interpretations before, but never one quite like this. The story follows Rose, a precocious German 17 year old, as her mother brings her from Germany to live with her grandmother in America. Although she is happy to see her grandmother, Rose hates her new life: she misses her friends back in Germany and she is teased and ridiculed by the other students at school. Rose can only find comfort in her tattered book of fairy tales until she meets and develops a crush on Nick, the most popular guy at school, and is befriended by Summer, a beautiful sexy coed. But things become complicated as Rose is tormented by Nick's girlfriend Bridgette, and the once quiet town finds itself rattled by a series of gruesome, mysterious murders.



The film was shot in Germany, Italy, Austria, Maryland and Pennsylvania and stars Stefanie Geils, Sativa Verte, Phil Gibson, Nicole Leigh Vuono, Chris O'Brocki, Betty Biehler, Sheena Norris, Kerri Taylor, Savannah Costello and Debbie D, and will be released in 2009.



Unsigned bands and artists can submit songs for consideration. Genres include Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. From these initial submissions, winners will be chosen by members of the Sparks Entertainment staff and announced at the end of the contest.
