There will be at least 3 Sonicbids artists selected to perform. One North American band will receive a $1000 USD subsidy directly from Sonicbids to help cover travel costs. Bands from all other locations will be compensated at a rate to be determined./n/nDue to high demand the promoter is extending the applications deadline to July 1st, to accommodate late submitters.

The Reeperbahn Festival is a special 3-day long music festival on the Hamburger Reeperbahn, featuring around 170 live shows. The festival recently won two national awards - HANS (Hamburger Muskpreis) and LEA (Live Entertainment Award) – and also received a nomination for Best Indoor Festival at the prestigious European Festival Awards.

During the Reeperbahn festival the city of Hamburg, will transform into a live music capital with an event many music lovers were wishing for but did not even dare to ask for.


From September 22-24, 2011, 17,000 festival goers will have the chance to see 170 live shows on more than 20 stages in venues such as concert halls, theaters, clubs and bars on and around the Reeperbahn. What could be a better idea than using the world famous “mile” with its lively and vibrant live club scene, with its theatres and bars that are one of a kind in Europe, as a centre for this festival?


National and international acts will headline, supported by the best up-and-coming new bands. Online submissions on Sonicbids are open to artists worldwide – and there will be at least 3 Sonicbids artists selected to perform. One North American band will receive a $1000 USD subsidy directly from Sonicbids to help cover travel costs. Bands from all other locations will be compensated at a rate to be determined. Please note that travel reimbursement may be taxable.


Last year Sonicbids selected band were Earl Greyhound (USA), Black Market (USA), and De Staat (DE). All submissions for non-German bands are being accepted through Sonicbids.
