Reggae Carifest Xperience is a nonstop musical celebration consisting of diverse cultures and cuisine, which features some of the finest artists, foods, arts & crafts. Past shows are as vivid today as the original dates when talked about. The passion that is exerted when the memories flow is so captivating from year to year allowing for a continuous growing attendance. It is a day to be enjoyed by folks from all walks of life. This year’s Reggae Carifest will be held at New York City’s Randall’s Island Park on August 27, 2006.



The captive blend of diverse artists panning from Reggae, Dancehall, Calypso, Soca, Kompa, Hip Hop, and R&B is a recipe consisting of ingredients from the Caribbean, North & Central America, Israel, Japan, and Europe. Artists deliver messages of Love, Life, Spirituality, Knowledge, Fun, and Dancing to an audience totally receptive to the festive event. Past performers include Buju Banton, Bunny Wailer, MatisYahu, Jimmy Cliff, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Baby Cham, Wayne Wonder, Luciano, Juvenile, Kafu Banton, Bascom X, I Wayne, Capleton and many more. Reggae Carifest was launched in 1998, at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, After two years at Forest Hills, the action moved to Randall’s Island Park where Reggae Carifest remained “sold out” and became the most highly anticipated summer event. Due to renovation at Randall’s Island Park for two years, the festival was temporarily relocated in 2003, to the Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium and in 2004 to Keyspan Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Last Year it returned home to.



Reggae Carifest is produced by Legendary Records Inc., a complete production company with producers, artists and a recording studio based in Brooklyn, New York.
