Now in its second year, Reggae Rising is one of the country's biggest Reggae Festivals. Held August 1-3 in Humboldt, CA, this year's lineup includes Beres Hammond, Clinton Fearon, Don Carols, Gentleman, Junior Reid, Sly & Robbie and UB40.

The festival is produced by People Productions and its staff of coordinators who have a two decades plus track record for hosting exceptional music festivals and are considered by many as: “The Heart That Built Reggae.” Last year's festival drew 12,500 people.

This year's selected artists will be paid, fed and possibly provided with lodging depending on the circumstances. All compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

The Reggae Rising Music Festival Site is located on Highway 101 at Dimmick Ranch and French's Camp. Humboldt County is located on California's northern coast, with the city of Eureka situated about 300 miles north of San Francisco and 100 miles south of the Oregon border.
