Renaissance: People of Color in Jazz, Soul and R&B

The deadline is fast approaching to submit to Spectra Events' Renaissance, a monthly showcase of women and trans people of color musicians and artists, featuring sounds from big band jazz to soulful ballads to spoken-word, gospel drag to classical guitar. This show is for the grown ‘n’ sexy, the street artist, the bohemian, and music lovers everywhere. Renaissance is more than a live music show. It’s a slow dance, a passionate love affair, red silk sheets, pulsating hips, heartbreak, love, fire. It is sweat, soul, and movement. They are especially interested in artists to perform on September 28th, but they are also accepting submissions for all available dates.

Selected artists receive:

• Each artist receives 15-20 minute sets


• Sound system and sound man provided, no backline


• 3-4 Sonicbids artists will be selected for this event

Renaissance is not a paid gig. Performers will be invited to earn a portion of ticket sales as their compensation by promoting their participation and the event via a unique tracking link. All performers will be vigorously promoted through Spectra Events social media channels, and offered the opportunity to sell merchandise at the event for 100% of the profits. Performers will also enjoy free drink tickets courtesy of the venue.
