Rhythm & Roots Festival 2011

Rhythm & Roots is New England's Hottest Festival of Roots Music and Dance with 4 stages of top notch entertainment. The next Rhythm & Roots Festival will be held in Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI during Labor Day weekend, September 2-4, 2011.
/n/nRhythm & Roots is New England's Hottest Festival of Roots Music and Dance with 4 stages of top notch entertainment. This year's Rhythm & Roots Festival will be held in Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI during Labor Day weekend September 2-4, 2011. All selected artists will be compensated with a negotiable performance fee. The festival will also sell artist merchandise and pass along 85% of the proceeds to the artist.

Submissions are welcome from artists who perform swing, cajun, zydeco, blues, dance, jazz, world, rock, blues, and any other music that will get people dancing. Attendance is roughly 5,000 people per day, with a grand total of over 12,000 people.

Notable past performers include: Robert Randolph, Dr John, Susan Tedeschi, Los Lobos, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives, Natalie MacMaster, Los Straitjackets with Big Sandy, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, The Pine Leaf Boys, Corey Ledet's Zydeco Band, etc.
