Summary

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to the River City Ohio Blues Competition. Blues bands and solo/duo acts will compete for cash prizes and BJFMS sponsorship to The Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, Tennessee. Artists will also receive exposure to record labels, A&R representatives, blues industry professionals and festival promoters./n/nThe 19th Annual River City Ohio Blues Competition could be an artist's ticket to the Memphis International Blues Challenge, no matter what location, all talented blues acts are welcome to apply. Ohio's oldest and largest blues competition will take place in February at The Lafayette Hotel, on the banks of the Ohio River. The winner receives $1,000 CASH plus BJFMS Sponsorship to IBC, the largest gathering of blues talent in the world. Not to mention, it's an artist's chance to gain valuable exposure to record labels, A&R representatives, blues industry professionals and festival promoters capable of providing real career advancement for the serious blues musician.


Complete, application and rules are available on the BJFMS website. All competitors must submit the application found on website along with $25 entry fee before competing.



Last year's winner, Tokyo Tramps, came from Sonicbids and was chosen to represent BJFM at IBC in Memphis.
