Summary

The Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee celebrates diversity in music and features over 60 local, regional and national performers. The 2014 festival will be taking place on April 24-26. Several Sonicbids artists will be selected and compensated a small negotiable fee for their performance.

This outdoor festival has five stages of entertainment including: Rock, Christian, Country, International and an Oldies stage. There are 60 performance slots available over the three days. Last year's attendance exceeded 42,000 people. Genres accepted include: country, R&B, blues, jazz, rock n' roll, Latin, oldies, acoustic or any new style you want to present.

If you are a rock artist then you could be selected to be part of the Last Band Standing competition at the festival. If you get selected for that part you will be asked if you want to try out for that area. The festival has a few slots just Rock but another 8 slots are with Last Band Standing. This will be a Battle of the Bands competition at the festival. The Last Band Standing is a radio contest. Artists who submit through Sonicbids will be previewed and then, if selected, move on to the semi-finalist qualifying round. At least 1 Sonicbids artist will be selected to qualify for further rounds. Artists and bands must be available to play on both the Friday and Saturday. Please Note: No rock artists will be paid unless their band is the winner of the Last Band Standing competition. All other rock artists who compete and do not win must cover all of their own expenses (but may still have the chance to play in front of 42,000 people.).

This year's Rivers and Spires Festival will continue to provide exciting and free entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, arts and crafts, shopping, wine tasting, a quilt show, teen and children's activities and much more.

Rivers & Spires Festival started in 2003 as a tribute to the returning soldiers of Fort Campbell Military Base, including the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Since then, it has continued to follow this heritage, with special tributes for the many soldiers who are still deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
