The Road to Indie Week is looking for 10 of Quebec's best! Selected artists will compete for a spot in Indie Week Canada 2017.

The Opportunity

Indie Week Canada has become one of Canada’s premiere indie music festivals showcasing 200+ acts from all over the world in front of music industry professionals offering 6 nights of showcases, 20+ venues, late last call after parties serving until 4am, music industry panels, industry judging, demo listening sessions, mentorships, sponsored stages and more.

Past Indie Week Performers Include: Mike Joyce (The Smiths), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), The Rural Alberta Advantage, The OBGM's, Walk Off The Earth, LYON, Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden), Ill Scarlett 

Past Indie Week Industry Judges Include:
Mike Clink (producer of Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Metallica, Motley Crue), Nigel Grainge (signed Thin Lizzy, Sinead O’Connor, 10cc, Steve Miller Band), Chris Birkett (Producer of Sinead O’Connor, Steve Earle)

The Band

  • Artists of all genres will be considered, except for classical, comedy, and cover/tribute bands
  • Full bands and solo artists are both encouraged to submit
  • Acoustic and electric acts will both be considered
  • All band members must be 19+

The Gig

Dates: Sept 9th and Oct 7th

  • Sets will be approximately 30 mins on average
  • Sound equipment (mics, PA, monitors) will be supplied
  • Basic backline (drumset, amps) will be provided except for breakables
Additional Compensation Details:
  • 2 Bands a night will be selected to play Indie Week Canada in Toronto
