Summary

Sims Entertainment is proud to provide quality entertainment for the long running annual Robber's Cave State Park 4th of July Celebration! Robbers Cave State Park is nestled in the San Bois Mountains located 4 miles North of Wilburton, Oklahoma on scenic Highway 2. It encompasses more than eight thousand acres and includes three lakes and many tourist amenities Robbers Cave has a long history including a hid out for Civil War deserters and outlaws, including the Youngers, the Dalton Gang, the Rufus Buck Gang, and Belle Starr. The location and local terrain made the cave an almost impregnable fortress, with the criminals allegedly able to escape through a secret back exit.

For over twenty years, The Latimer County Fire Fighters Association has put on one of the best fireworks show in the state. A few years ago, live entertainment was brought in by Sims Entertainment to give the waiting public something to do to pass the time before the big show. People arrive four to five hours before dark to get their favorite spot along the beautiful Carlton Lake shore. Bands, music artists, and performers have the opportunity to showcase their talent and music in front of a crowd that averages 5,000 to 7,000 each year.

They are looking for a wide range and a variety of entertainment for this years event. Entertainers should be able to relate to a mixed family audience. Please, no hard rock, metal, or punk genres. Also, we need someone to sing the National Anthem before the fireworks show at dark.

Compensation includes one night of lodging and dinner the night of the event. Other monetary compensation may be provided depending on level of band/artist experience and event budget. Merchandise booth may be set up with 100% of proceeds going to performing band/artist. This may also include an interview on our local radio stations, Today Country K101.3 and Rock 105.1 in McAlester, Oklahoma.
