Molson Canadian Rocks presents The Fourth Annual Rockanagan

The forth annual Rockanagan will feature 36 bands performing at six venues in Kelowna, located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. At least half of all performance spots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Stages will focus on acoustic, electric and electronic music./n/nThe forth annual Rockanagan will feature 36 bands performing at six venues in Kelowna, located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Venues hosting Rockanagan include Sturgeon Hall, Flannigan’s Pub, The Grateful Fed Deli, Doc Willoughby’s, Christopher's Steak and Seafood, and Fintry Queen, all within a three-block walking distance in beautiful downtown Kelowna.

Rockanagan welcomes both Canadian and non-Canadian artists, and original acts of all genres are encouraged to submit. At least half of all performance spots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Stages will focus on acoustic, electric and electronic music.

Bands accepted to perform at the 2010 festival will also be able to attend free music workshops covering everything from marketing and PR to songwriting and management. Music industry professionals are always roaming the six bars, giving bands and solo acts important exposure for their music. Sony and Warner representatives were included at last year's festival and this year's industry attendees will be announced shortly.

This year, Rockanagan will feature a "get-acquainted" event on Thursday evening for all musicians who want to attend. The music itself will happen Friday and Saturday nights, and workshops will be held Saturday during the day. On Sunday, we'll have a wind-up party that bands, workshop leaders and the public can attend. The final evening promises to be lots of fun and will give musicians and workshop leaders an opportunity for some casual one-on-one encounters.
