Summary

Entering its 14th season, Rock Around the Block has been ranked one of the best musical events in Chicago by WXRT Radio. Over 40,000 people typically attend the event, which takes place around one of the most visible intersections in Chicago – Lincoln Ave at Addison. This year's festival will take place July 14th and 15th in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.

Rock Around the Block features around 30 of the windy city’s best bands who perform on 3 different stages throughout the festival’s 4 full blocks of interactive fun.

All selected artists will be paid and food/drink may be provided as well. Rock Around the Block is looking for pop/rock and cover bands from the greater Chicago area.

Featuring an awesome family area with games and entertainment for the little rockers in the house, artisans and crafts vendors, a variety of great food and an array of street performers, Rock Around the Block is an overall great experience.

And if the fun wasn’t enough, Rock Around the Block, StarEvents (the Promoter) and the event’s sponsors donate $100,000 to charity each year. Last year, the money was given to the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund. This year, proceeds will go towards building a park in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.
