Rockin for Rise Benefit Concert 2007

Rockin for Rise is an annual benefit concert where 100% of the proceeds go to The Rise School of Houston. Rise is a 501(c)(3) non-profit early intervention preschool for children with and without developmental disabilities, ages 6 months to 6 years of age.

The 3rd Annual Rockin for Rise Benefit will be held on March 2 and 3, 2007 over 4 stages and two different venues. The March 2 performances will be held on two stages at the legendary Hard Rock Cafe in Houston, while the March 3 show will be held at The Last Concert Cafe, one of Houston's favorite venues for bands and good food. The venues hold up to 400 people each and have both hosted a variety of impressive national, regional and local bands and artists over the years.

Rockin for Rise will be booking between 25-30 bands for the event, at least three of which will be reserved for Sonicbids artists. Last year 6 artists were chosen from Sonicbids!

Bands will not be paid for their performances due to the nature of the event, however, they may sell any merchandise they have at the event and they can also request a tax receipt. Bands will be listed on promotional flyers, posters, and postcards, as well as on the website and any press releases. There also may be possible TV/ radio spots for bands participating in the weeks leading up to the event. Bands will also get some cool packages from our various sponsors, valued at over $200.

In the past years, Rockin for Rise has been recognized by Billboard Music and has had bands from all over the world submit to play the event. Rockin for Rise is one of the fastest growing benefit events in the greater Houston area, and has had a tremendous response from the community and a consistent turnout over the years.
