Summary

Due to the overwhelming success of The Mineshaft Saloon, The Rock Lobster opened in April of 1993 as the second bar in Fred Treadway and Rob Sabatini's "Party Trifecta". Named after the B-52's song popular in the early 80's, The Rock was an overnight success as Indianapolis' first eighties bar (later expanded to include a more diverse music format).

With a newly-remodeled addition, The Rock features a VIP Room available for private parties, a large dance floor with elevated area, 12 flat screen TV's, an outdoor patio open year-round with garage doors opening to the new Lobster Lounge and a great selection of music selected by DJ Hey including music videos. Because they have the hardest working bar-staff in showbiz, outstanding drink specials, and a downright fun atmosphere; its no wonder "The Rock" still has the long lines every weekend.

There is live music every Wednesday and Thursday. Rock Lobster provides compensation that is negotiated at the time of selection. Local draw is not necessarily required, but is definitely considered.
