Rock The House NJ Music Series

The Rock The House NJ Concert Series takes place approximately every six weeks. Produced and run by local independent musicians, this is an excellent opportunity for both up-and-coming artists and established acts to get in front of new, music-appreciating audiences./n/nThe Rock The House NJ Concert Series takes place approximately every six weeks on Friday or Saturday night from 7p-11p. The current location of the series is The Baird Center in South Orange, NJ, but this is subject to change as they explore other venue choices to suit their growing needs.




Produced and run by local independent musicians, this is an excellent opportunity for both up-and-coming artists and established acts to get in front of new, music-appreciating audiences. The series has a lounge-like atmosphere which is appropriate for all ages and complete with waitress-served cafe food. Each installment features four acts -- 35 minute sets each. The bands share backline. Rock the House endeavors to pair one out-of-town act with local NJ acts to keep attendance high. This means if you are a NJ-based band, you will have a higher probability of being selected since there will be more NJ-based slots to fill. However, out-of-town bands are still very encouraged to apply!




Past performers at the series include Someone Say Something, New Day Dawn, Alan Paul (Woodie Alan), The Plush Interiors, MoodRing and Caterpillar Book. All rock-based genres accepted including rock, blues, alternative, indie and accoustic.
