The Bar and Restaurant Society is an independent promotion entity that belongs to a network that books artists at the most
popular music venues in Hollywood. Currently, they book at Molly Malone's, The Viper Room, The Troubadour, The House of Blues, & The Pig N' Whistle. There are 3 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists between these venues.

Selected artists receive:

  • Set time can range from 35 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the venue.

  • Sound equipment, microphones, and sound technicians are provided, but bands must bring their own equipment.

  • Bands will be paid via a door split or by pre-sell tickets depending on the venue. For the door split, the venue keeps the first 20 people then splits with the artists 50/50 after that. There is a unique ticket deal available as well. Generally bands give back 11% of the overall tickets on the night of the show at the normal cover charge. Artists keep the rest of the tickets to sell for themselves physically or online. From this ticket deal alone, bands have made anywhere between $200+ to $2,000 from a single show.

There is also a door split available for bands selling tickets as well. Free shows and guaranteed paid shows are also available to bands within the network at select venues. Only artists from Southern California will be considered, unless they have a solid following in LA.

Past performers include: Viza, Krayzie Bone, Open Air Stereo, Savannah Van Band, Silent Treatment, Gunpowder Secrets, Neon Hymns, Criminal Comfort, any many more.

Terms And Conditions

We require that band members be 21+ as well as their guests. We ask that bands get to the venue at least an hour before their time slot to load in. We ask that the bands and their patrons respect the rules of the particular venue where they will be playing.

We allow for one comped guest per band member, but if more are necessary, we ask that the band discuss this with us at least a week before the show. This also includes special guest lists.

If there are presold tickets, we ask that bands give us their guaranteed amount on the night of the show before they perform. This amount will be discussed with the band prior to booking a show.
