Rock The Ink at the Hard Rock Casino is an opportunity to perform at a high visibility festival that is receiving national attention. The weekend will be filled with on-site tattooing, the Rock N Ride motorcycle rally hosted by Hard Rock and Harley Davidson, Battle of the Bands, and a host of contests and attractions including the Miss Rock The Ink Beauty Pageant, Midget Wrestling, daily tattoo contests, smokin’ after-parties, and much more. Three Sonicbids members are guaranteed slots to perform at the 2011 festival./n/nRock the Ink Tattoo and Entertainment Festival will appear at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Albuquerque, NM on March 11th to 13th, 2011, for a weekend of on-site tattooing, acoustic talent competitions, the Miss Rock the Ink Beauty Pageant, The Uncensored Hypnotist, Burlesque Live featuring Burque Burlesque, midget wrestling featuring The Half-pint Brawlers and a host of contests and attractions including daily tattoo contests, smokin’ after-parties and much more. Three Sonicbids members are guaranteed slots to perform at the event.



This year, the Rock the Ink music competition will be between artists who can rock out acoustically. It is accepting song submissions from acoustic artists who play both originals and cover songs and who wish to compete live at the festival.



Originals perform on March 11th while covers will be featured on March 12th. The winner from each category will perform a short set on Sunday, March 13th.



While performances are all acoustic, electric keys may be used. PA system and monitors are provided, while musicians are responsible for all instruments and cables.



This is a great opportunity to perform at a highly visibility festival that is receiving national attention. Selected artists receive the chance to perform in front of thousands of new fans and music industry insiders at a national event that redefines the live entertainment experience.



About the event:


The first Rock The Ink was held in Providence RI in October 2008 where 25,000 fans attended over the weekend. The creator and producer of Rock The Ink is Paul Zukoski. A music industry veteran, Paul mounted and produced the ground breaking Tattoo The Earth tour in 2000. Fondly nicknamed the caravan of pain, Tattoo The Earth toured with more than 30 bands and over 50 top tattoo artists to 20 cities nationwide.



The line up of amazing bands on Tattoo The Earth included Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, Slipknot, Slayer, Sevendust, Sepultura and so on. And even though they were new on the scene, Paul recognized the talents of hed(pe) and Mudvayne (their first tour) and invited them on the show to be part of history. Rock The Ink festivals have featured Godsmack, Sevendust, Kottonmouth Kings, Mushroomhead, (hed)p.e. to name a few.
