Once a year, they provide Texas with a 3 night event featuring the most celebrated bands, artists, and slam poets from across the state.

"Rock The Republic (2009):A Spectacle of Sight and Sound" featured over 100 of the best acts from every major region in Texas.

Submissions for "Rock The Republic 2010" are on hold, but they are currently booking shows over the next few months in the Bryan/College Station area. The initial shows will run from January through July, 2010. Bands and Poets of all styles and genres will be considered.

Rock The Republic was founded in July 2008 by slam poet Stephen Sargent and musician/entertainer John Wesley out of the need for an event that united the largely underground "slam poetry" movement with the Texas music scene.
