Summary
ROCKWERK is a Liverpool, UK based event held on April 6th, 7th, and 9th, 2007 across four different stages at the Barfly and Carling Academy. The event is promoted by www.glasswerk.co.uk - a UK concert promoter and webzine. There are 3 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists and Sonicbids is the only way an unsigned band can be considered for the event.
With 35 bands playing an Indie day and a Rock day, the lineup of the event reflects the mixed genres that glasswerk.co.uk promotes. The festival is interested in both U.K. and international acts. Headlining artists include bands with UK and international profile as well as local emerging artists alongside. Confirmed so far is Mark Morriss (Bluetones) headlining the Acoustic stage with the rest of the headliners to be confirmed shortly. Last yearÂ’s Rockwerk drew over 2,000 people.
Compensation will be determined on an act by act basis and while bands will not be provided with accommodation, glasswerk.co.uk can give guidance on where to stay.
Glasswerk.co.uk have promoted Arctic Monkeys, Hard Fi, Bluetones, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster, The Others, Mistys Big Adventure, The Queers, Soho Dolls, Art Brut and many, many more.
