Held in outdoor settings throughout New York City, the series features live music and screenings of independent films that couldnÂ’t otherwise be seen in NY. More than 15,000 people attended Rooftop events in 2008, making it one of the most popular festivals in New York City. The 2009 Summer Series will feature bigger crowds, even more beautiful venues and more incredible films and music.

They program everything from established major label bands to singer-songwriters who have never performed anywhere but the NYC subways.
