Summary

The Rootsway Roots'n'Blues & Food Festival is held on Fridays and Saturdays for four weeks from June 15 – July 7, 2007 in Parma, Italy. Headed into its third year, last year's attendance was over 1,200 people per day. The festival is open to Italian, European, and International artists.

The month-long festival will feature over 20 bands and will be held across four stages at four different venues. Bands will be compensated for their performance, with details to be negotiated at the time of booking, and will also receive artist goodie bags. Artists will have travel and lodging costs covered. The festival will also provide a complete backline for performing bands.

The festival was born with the aim of creating a traveling cultural, musical and gastronomical event which would be unique in its genre. The event will be held on the banks of the river Po or in one of the country courts nearby, which characterize the province of Parma. This area looks much like the Southern part of the United States around the legendary Mississippi, the homeland of lots of Roots and Blues music.
