Summary

Launched in January of 2007, Ropeadope is the first major independent label to go all digital. They release 2 new records each month and have worked with artists such as Mike Gordon (from Phish), Christian McBride, The Philadelphia Experiment, and The Benevento Russo Duo among others. Ropeadope music has been featured on HBO's True Blood and Nintendo WII commercials./n/nRopeadope is an established indie label (since 1999) and web destination for music lovers. They are welcoming their next decade of artists to the Ropeadope Music Collective.

Ropeadope is guaranteeing to select 2 Sonicbids artists to join the Collective. The artists will be featured on the Ropeadope main blog, Ropeadope Radio, and across all Ropeadope social network pages. Selected artists may be offered a digital release record contract and participation in the Ropeadope artist community, which is 50,000+ strong.

The label has selected Buddhuza, La Otra Banda, Double Helix, and Nive Neilsen for promotion in previous rounds. Ropeadope will release La Otrabanda's latest release worldwide in January 2010.

Accepted genres are Indie rock, jazz, hip-hop, folk, country, bluegrass, electronic, soul, R&B, and Americana. To be considered for label distribution, artists must be a committed touring band.

followed - Christian McBride's Live At Tonic, The Philadelphia Experiment, The Word, Mike Gordon (from Phish), The Benevento Russo Duo and others. In 2007 Ropeadope launched their all-digital imprint and has since led the way in developing a new label model, providing expanding support for artists and sharing profits equally. Recently, Ropeadope music has been featured on HBO's True Blood and Nintendo's WII commercials.
