Raise the Roof (formerly Red Roof) Women's Music Festival will be entering its third year as a premier women only event, slated to select four talented Sonicbids artists from a wide variety of genres. Artist compensation is negotiable upon selection; however, the festival will provide complimentary meals on their performance day, and campsites for the weekend. In addition, all musicians must be 19 years or older.
The festival's mission is to celebrate the spirit of women through music and nature. This year, the event will take place July 23-25 at Myles Acres, a 175-acre location, minutes from historic downtown Kingston. Past acts have included SONIA & Disappear Fear, Paprika, the V-Girls, Jamie Anderson and many other talented artists. In it's first two years, the fest boasted large amount of performances, with the best in local, regional and national female talent, as well as featuring emerging artists.
