Rugged Edge Entertainment Compilation Series

Rugged Edge Entertainment is releasing a new compilation CD series featuring original music by the best new and emerging independent hip-hop artists from around the country. This exciting CD series will be released quarterly and distributed through multiple Internet channels. The goal of the CD is to bring unprecedented exposure to independent hip-hop artists. A regional promotional tour will also be planned to promote and market the CD series.



A minimum of 4 slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Submissions are open to all hip-hop artists. Songs must be original songs with no samples unless cleared. Material cannot be any longer than 4 minutes.



Each compilation in the series will have at least 2,500 copies distributed nationwide with selected artists each receiving 100 free copies of the CD for their promotional use. Artists are allowed to sell these copies for their own financial benefit. The compilation will have a barcode, so it will report to Soundscan. In addition, selected artists will automatically be eligible for consideration for the "B.B.C.S. Allstars" best-of-the-best volume, to be released in late 2007.
