Rusty's Surf Ranch 6th Annual Battle of the Bands

Rusty's Surf Ranch is holding its 6th Annual Battle of the Bands from January through April, 2007. There are nine qualifying rounds held on Fridays, and with three bands competing per night, there will be a total of 27 bands in the battle. The Battle of the Bands will feature bands in all genres going through a qualifying round, a semi-final round and a finals round:

9 Qualifying Rounds

Fridays, Jan. 19th-Mar. 16th

Qualifying Round judging is based on; 40% draw and 60% judges, who will score on musical ability, showmanship/stage presence. There will be no cover charge during qualifying rounds and the winner will be announced after the final band each Friday night.

The winner will be scheduled in the semi-finals:

Winners for 1/19-2/2 - semi-final on 3/23

Winners for 2/9-2/23 - semi-final on 3/30

Winners for 3/2-3/16 - semi-final on 4/6

3 Semi-Final Rounds

Fridays, Mar. 23rd-Apr. 6th

Three bands per night –order to be determined by drawing during qualification rounds
Semi-Final Round judging is based on; 40% draw and 60% judges, who will score on musical ability, showmanship/stage presence. There will be a $6 cover charge with a 50/50 split between the band and the club and semi-final winners will be announced after the final band each Friday night.

Finals

April 27th

The three winners of the semi-finals will compete and Final Round judging is based on;
40% draw and 60% judges, who will score on musical ability, showmanship/stage presence.There will be a $6 cover charge with a 50/50 split between the band and the club.The winner will be announced after the final band performs and will receive $1,000 in cash & prizes, in addition to their share of the door.
