Summary

The Sacramento County Fair- “It’s the place to bee!” Springtime fun since 1937, the 2008 festival will be held at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA from May 22-Memorial Day, 2008. Every year, thousands come to the fair for entertainment, competitions, fun and more! Attendance since 1991 has increased from 14,000 to 75,000 in 2006.



There are several performance opportunities at the Sacramento County fair. Diverse, local and regional family friendly acts are encouraged to apply. Heavy metal and hip hop need not apply. PA system is provided, and compensation is negotiable on a case by case basis and is based on experience, size of act, and lodging. The limited budget restricts the amount and number that will receive payment for performance, but the exposure and potential merch sales are fantastic.



Golden1 Main Stage

The Golden1 Main Stage is the premier entertainment venue of the Sacramento County Fair featuring hypnotists, variety acts and the best local musical entertainment. The stage is 32 ‘x 24’ and overlooks a capacity at 750.





The Sprint Stage

The Sprint Stage, located near the Kids' Carnival, showcases the talent of the Sacramento Area by providing stage time to youth dance groups, cultural dance associations, vocalists, choirs and even gymnasts! Soloists, duos and trios are welcome, and often perform to an audience of up to 120 or more.
