Summary

Can you believe there are children in the world who do not have the ability to create music? Do you think this is a problem? Would you like to be a part of the solution? Frog Barn Productions is teaming up with GAP Adventures Planeterra Foundation to find a solution for a group of children in Ecuador.

The First Sammy Sugar Day Festival will be held at The Tranzac Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday May 26th from 1:00 pm to 1:00 am. It will feature 12 – 14 bands across three stages and will be the first of a series of events on The Sammy Sugar Tour. All acts will receive a cash honorarium and an artist goodie bag.

The goal is to raise $6,000 USD to fund the music program at the Salesiano Street Children Project in Quito, Ecuador. The Salesiano School provides programs and shelter for the street children in Quito. A school was built with the hopes of establishing a Performing Arts & Music Program. The goal behind this program is to teach children dance, music and performance skills that they can use at various festivals in and around Quito. It will cost $6,000 USD annually to develop and maintain the music program, which will benefit the 50+ children who attend the centre. Funds donated will provide wages for a music instructor, the purchase of uniforms, an amplifier, sound equipment, guitars, microphones, etc.
