It's the perfect gig for bands from the Northeast on their way down Interstate-95 en route to Austin for SXSW. It's a great opportunity to play a show, earn some gas money, have a nice bed to sleep in, and eat some fantastic southern food- all in a city known for its hospitality and funky and artistic vibe.

Savannah is one of the hottest cities in the country right now and they are looking to showcase up-and-coming bands. We will connect bands with locals for free places to stay and engage the local arts community (via SCAD) for concert poster designs and other visual arts opportunities including video and acoustic sessions as well as interactive elements using Microsoft's new TAG Reader.

Bands will be compensated based on the venue played and the size of following and at least 3 Sonicbids will be selected to perform. Artists are also able to sell merch and keep the proceeds. About 30 bands will perform on eight different stages at various venues in the historic district including Jinx, the Wormhole, Livewire, and more.

March 10th is the last day of classes for 6000 Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) students. Bands will have an opportunity to play at numerous venues across the historic district on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday. There will also be a VIP Artist Lounge area for bands, press and select fans to interact. Bands will be able to stay in local homes and be treated to daily specials from across Savannah's restaurant and retail community.
