Summary

SCOPE Productions is the University of Iowa's Student Commission on Programming and Entertainment. Based in Iowa City, Iowa, SCOPE is charged with bringing quality concerts and entertainment to the University of Iowa campus and the Iowa City community. This year, Scope Productions has hosted hundreds of shows, including bands such Wilco, the Cool Kids, Taking Back Sunday, The Black Keys, Girl Talk, Talib Kweli and will be putting on many more performances, such as Iron and Wine and Kate Nash.
/n/nSCOPE Productions is the University of Iowa's Student Commission on Programming and Entertainment. Based in Iowa City, Iowa, SCOPE is charged with bringing quality concerts and entertainment to the University of Iowa campus and the Iowa City community. SCOPE Productions also serves as an educational opportunity for it's student members, offering hands on experience in the business of music promotion, production, hospitality, marketing, talent buying, and finance.



Compensation for the artist can be provided through performance fees, lodging, travel, and food. Merchandise revenues are split depending on who sells it and how much is made. Scope Productions supports submissions from artists based in the Midwest between Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha and St. Louis/Kansas City. All genres are welcome.


This year, Scope Productions has hosted hundreds of shows, including bands such Wilco, the Cool Kids, Taking Back Sunday, The Black Keys, Girl Talk, Talib Kweli and will be putting on many more performances, such as Iron & Wine and Kate Nash. Scope Productions typically does 6 or 7 shows per semester, September through December and February through May.
