SCoRCHeR FeST 2010 - Perth

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to SCoRCHeR FeST Perth, which works in conjunction with Band Together Inc. to create opportunities for bands/acts. Applicants will also be considered for other shows the promoter books around Australia as they are confirmed. At least 15 slots are reserved for submissions through Sonicbids; 10 for local artists and 5 for interstate artists.

Sonicbids artists who submitted to SCoRCHeR FeST Adelaide will be considered for Perth as well./n/nSCoRCHeR FeST, expecting thousands of attendees, works in conjunction with Band Together Inc. to create opportunities for bands/acts to build networks, earn money, and enjoy their craft in nationally run festivals. Applicants will also be considered for other shows the promoter books around Australia as they are confirmed. At least 15 slots are reserved for submissions through Sonicbids; 10 for local artists and 5 for interstate artists.

This year's festival will take place at the Rosemont, featuring 3 stages (including the beer garden). Successful bands/acts receive an official discount flyer/invitation to spread to fans who will receive $15 per entry with every flier returned from the door charge. Normal entry fee is $25.



Sonicbids artists who submitted to SCoRCHeR FeST Adelaide will be considered for Perth as well.

NOTE: Successful artists pay the bond of $275 within 2 weeks of being selected to play. If 50 or more people come to see them, they receive their bond back, as well as their $10 per person through the door. For Example, If a band gest 60 payers, they will receive $600 plus their $275 bond back, for 30 payers, bands receive $300. For 100 people, artists receive $1000 plus their $275 bond. Bands also receive 12 VIP free entry passes.

However, three of the fifteen Sonicbids bands selected will receive a subsidised bond. That means Sonicbids will cover any outstanding cost if those artists do not get enough payers to cover the bond. Bands should still strive to sell as many tickets as possible as this will not be available for all selected artists.

This model has been very successful for SCoRCHeR FeST and works as incentive and motivation for bands to take ownership and be heavily involved. A poorly promoted show is a poorly attended show.

The official flyer is emailed to the artist, and can be emailed to mailing lists, cut & pasted into myspace, facebook, websites or where ever you can be found or you direct people. Flyers can also be printed & photo copied as often as you or the potential audience likes. Recipients of the flyer gain entry for $15 instead of $25 as their incentive.

Unfortunately there is not compensation or lodging/meals included. However, over 50 artists will be performing across 3 stages. Previous performers include Trial Kennedy, Mad Charlie, Evolution Zero, Riot Runners, The Beards, Deafening Silence, Son of Dad, All in All, Tantrix, Fastrack, My Dynamite, Loren, Escape from Lincoln, E11even, Hammerhead, Roy McKonkey, - over 170 bands over the last 6 months!

FYI: The festival is 18+. All ages can attend until 4 p.m. if they are accompanied by an adult.
