SCoRCHeR FeST - Australian Spring/Summer 2011

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to SCoRCHeR FeST, which works in conjunction with Band Together Inc. to create opportunities for bands/acts. Applicants will also be considered for other shows the promoter books around Australia as they are confirmed. At least 45 slots are reserved for submissions through Sonicbids; 10 for local artists and 5 for interstate artists.

This year's festival series will take place in three venues over multiple dates. Previous performers include Trial Kennedy, Mad Charlie, Evolution Zero, Riot Runners and many more! This year's sponsors include Coopers Brewery and Disk Edits./n/nSCoRCHeR FeST works in conjunction with Bands & Acts to create opportunities to build networks, earn money, and enjoy their craft. At least 45 slots are reserved for submissions through Sonicbids across the 3 festivals listed, 30 for local and 15 for touring acts.

The last SCoRCHeR FeST circuit saw crowds tremble thanks to the proactive response by many of the 300 original bands and acts that performed. SCoRCHeR FeST showcases are generally 80-90% local and 10-20% touring artists. The events are +18, with U18s ok with a guardian (conditions apply).

• October 29, 30 – Country Life Hotel Kin Kin, Sunshine Coast, QLD

(A major camping weekend)


• November 27 – The Duke of York Hotel, Adelaide, SA

(Not just a huge end of Uni exam party)


• December 18 – The Rosemount, Perth WA

(The biggest Christmas Party Perth has ever seen)

By way of compensation artists purchase presale tickets and promotion package including SMS, electronic vouchers and online tickets. This method of compensation provided some last year with up to $1500 in profit as well as the exposure to move on to bigger opportunities.

Previous performers include Trial Kennedy, Mad Charlie, Evolution Zero, Riot Runners, The Beards, Deafening Silence, Son of Dad, All in All, Tantrix, Fastrack, My Dynamite, Loren, Escape from Lincoln, E11even, Hammerhead, and Roy McKonkey - over 470 bands over the last 12 months!
