Scrape Recordings - Roster Expansion

Scrape Recordings started as an EDM based label and is seeking to expand its roster to encompass all genres of music for release via their internationally distributed label.



Scrape is located in the Washington DC / Baltimore area and has direct ties with local large event promoters as well as promoters all over the US and Europe. The label is distributed by InGrooves, who also handles distribution for Universal Music Group, meaning all artists go into every major online retailer, including: iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Amazon, Wal-Mart and approx 200 other retailers worldwide. They also have a ringtone program and the distributor has a licensing department which handles all licensing of music from the label for film and television.



Scrape’s talent has performed as such events as Starscape Music Festival in Baltimore, Winter Music Conference in Miami - Ultra - as well as many other events that take place during WMC, Lovefest in San Francisco, Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards in London UK, and many other events.



Scrape offers a 50% royalty rate on contracts with artists who have release ready material, and will provide recording studio time for artists with strong material for lower negotiable royalty rates.



Some of their current and former clients include Cereal Killaz, former Warner Brothers recording artists Mephisto Odyssey (featuring Mikael Johnston of the new act Dresden & Johnston who have just had 2 #1 singles in the past month on the Billboard Dance Charts), Wideband Network, Joshua Collins, Funkdose, Metachemical, HYX, Divine Icons, Discosynthetique and many others who have made their mark on the independent and major music scenes worldwide.



Scrape is also open to artist development for bands/artists - releasing singles prior to albums to test the market for your sound or style and matching them up with their team of in-house producers to come up with a marketable sound.
