Summary

Seattle University has more than 7,500 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools. The school is currently seeking local and regional acts for the following events/series:



  • Bistro Saturday: A live entertainment event held in the Student Center Bistro at Seattle University in Washington. The event is on Saturday nights from 8-10pm. Acts have ranged from student bands to well known regional bands and the school compensates bands between $500 and $1,000.

  • Coffeehouse series: This is every other Wednesday in the Student Center Hearth. Events start around 8:30 and last about an hour. Average attendance is between 20 to 100 people and about 6 artists perform there each semester.

  • Quadstock: Seattle University¬ís major spring concert event. Several bands perform in a festival style, with smaller regional bands leading up to a larger headliner. Over 1000 individuals come to this outdoor event.

This is a Jesuit school and artists should understand that performances need to fall within this perspective. Past performers have been: Raining Jane, Soul Stay Shun, Danny Django, Venice Maki, Lijie.

Terms And Conditions

Taken from Seattle University Performance Rider:

1. Purchaser is a non-profit university exempt from property tax under the laws of the State of Washington. No person or commercial venture is permitted to sell products or merchandise on Purchasers property. Therefore, neither Artist nor anyone affiliated with Artist is permitted to sell any merchandise of any kind on Purchasers property before, during, or after the engagement. Artist, in his sole discretion, may give away merchandise.

2. Purchaser is not responsible for any flights, transportation, or lodging for Artist or his crew members.

3. Artist understands that Purchaser is a Catholic university. Artist agrees to conduct his performance (both content and behavior) in a manner that is not offensive to Purchaser, as determined by Purchasers representative (Mr. Tim Wilson or his designee) in his reasonable judgment.

4. Artist understands that the University reserves the right to deny the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the campus. Alcoholic beverages will not be supplied to Artist or Crew at any time.

5. Artist represents and warrants that it has all of the necessary and appropriate rights, consents and licenses from third parties to perform its obligations under this Agreement.
