Summary

Seattle University, founded in 1891, is a Jesuit Catholic university located on 48 acres on Seattle's Capitol Hill. More than 7,500 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools. The school is currently seeking local and regional folk, jazz, blues, and acoustic acts to perform on campus.



They typically book four artists each quarter, and are accepting submissions for performance consideration during the Winter and Spring Quarters 2008-2008 for campus and Bistro Saturday events. Campus events seeking acts include:


  • Quadstock- Takes place in late Spring and presents a variety of musical acts

  • Dance Marathon- Held in early Spring featuring an assortment of different genres

  • Bistro Series- The weekend concert series features artists performing two 45-minute sets in Seattle U's Bistro, a coffee-shop type room where people can eat at tables while listening to music. Usual crowd consists of 30-80 students. Folk, Indie, Singer/Songwriter artists preferred, however all will be considered.


    Artists will be compensated for their performances with amounts between $500-$1,500. Average attendance for most shows is around 50.
