Sessions Cafe - Rothesay, NB

The Sessions Café in Rothesay, New Brunswick is truly an oasis in a desert of suburbia. Located in Sobey’s Plaza, Sessions is abundant with that laid-back, West Coast feel, complimented by the occasional locomotive sound from the espresso machine. It provides artists and fans with an intimate atmosphere where the two can connect and share together.



Open mic nights are featured almost every night of the week, but Sessions also features a very impressive following in regards to its ongoing concert series. Sessions features some of the best acoustic music around in genres ranging from jazz, blues and the occasional singer/songwriter. In fact, if it’s quiet and/or acoustic, Sessions is the place to showcase it.



No loud rock music or bands unable to do unplugged gigs are accepted at Sessions. The following at Sessions enjoys intimate performances by top-notch jazz, blues and other acoustic style artists. Solo and duos are also encouraged to submit along with the occasional comedian. A sound system is available, but only a minute system exists, and it is preferred that no percussionist is used. Booking is done at least a month or two ahead of time. A local draw isn’t necessary to submit and all acts are welcome. No lodging and/or considerable compensation is available to national or international acts. All compensation is negotiable at the time of booking.
