Shaman World Music Days Festival

Shaman World Music Days was designed as a series of music events that focus solely on world music, but in its immense diversity and intersection with other music genres. The festival will be held from February – May of this year, with two concert dates confirmed so far (March 29 and May 3, 2008). The performances will be held at Yeni Melek, a two thousand person venue in Istanbul, Turkey. The venue features three stories of music and excitement.


Shaman World Music Days is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artist for general performance consideration. They are looking to book artists who perform world music in any variety. Past performers have included Orange Blossom, Zuko 103, and Talvin Singh, who performs electronic music with an Indian influence. Compensation is offered to performing artists, but is negotiated at the time of booking. This is a great live gig for any artist to showcase their talents to a diverse and innovative world music festival
