Shelter of Peace

The Hospice of East Texas is a non-profit organization, offering the highest level of end of life care in East Texas.

In 2012, The Hospice of East Texas is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and in honor of that milestone, is creating a compilation CD to be used for two purposes. Primarily, the CDs will be given to patients of the Hospice of East Texas to help establish a peaceful and relaxing space for them. The second use for the CDs will be to give out as gifts to the supporters of the organization. The CDs will not be sold.

The Hospice of East Texas is looking for talented singer/songwriters to submit a recorded song that would fit the CD theme of peace and reflection. The Hospice of East Texas is offering $50 compensation if your song is chosen.

A local group of musicians and hospice volunteers will be screening the submissions to determine their fit for the project with the hope of including 15 songs on the CD.

The Hospice of East Texas is primarily looking for songs with lyrics about peace and/or reflection, but you may submit instrumental pieces if you wish.

1000 copies of the CD will be pressed, and all copyrights will remain with the artists - and full attribution will be given in the liner notes.
