Signal Fest 2008

Now in its third year, Signal: The Southeast Electronic Music Festival is quickly solidifying itself as one of the premier music festivals in the Southeastern U.S.


This year's event promises to be even bigger and better with an estimated turnout of over 7,000 and an even more diverse lineup. The festival will be held April 10 – 13, 2008 in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, NC throughout 8 separate venues. There are 4 performance slots reserved for Sonicbids members!


Signal is accepting submissions for any genres containing forms of electronic music (alternative, ambient, down tempo, drum-n-bass, experimental, gothic, house, hip hop, progressive, rock, rechno, trance, world, etc.).


A group of musicians and DJs founded Signal with the goal of organizing an event unlike anything in the region, focusing on all types of electronic music designed for the fans, not solely the industry. In its first two years, Signal has featured over 170 artists from across the globe entertaining a crowd of over 4,000 attendees throughout multiple venues with local and national sponsorship.


Previous performers include Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Donald Glaude, Masta Ace, Souls Of Mischief, Deepsky, Negativland, Jason Forrest, Odi, Crystal Castles, Neil Armstrong, Robbie Hardkiss, Noel Sanger, and many others.
