Last year almost 1100 shows were booked by Simon Says Booking, and this year 1500 shows worth over a million dollars for the bands will be booked. In addition to handling bands, Simon Says has a history of talent buying for events including the first ever Oregon Kids Fest, the Church of Universal Love and Music and ski areas, colleges, private high schools and clubs around the country. In total, well over 10,000 shows have been booked by the agency and its agents over the years. There is also a publicity department handling the publicity needs of clients including Taj Weekes and Adowa, Mountain Jam Festival, Wormtown Music Festival, Jeff Crosby, Equaleyes, Consider the Source, Big Leg Emma, Woodbox Gang, Freekbass, Fareed Haque, the Flowmotion Meltdown festival, and more.

One Sonicbids band will be chosen as a 2012 roster addition. Many other bands will be selected for freelance opportunities throughout the year.

Simon Says Booking is capable of representing any genre and style, but concentrates on funk, rock, jam, bluegrass, R&B, soul, and ethnic/world bands. In the past Simon Says has represented everything including radio rock, conscious hip-hop, cajun, and even punk bands. It would be no trouble to book any band or artist who is well known, but bands who are in need of serious development in the genres that include metal, singer/songwriter, country, and hip-hop might NOT find what they are seeking. That being said, any high quality band or artist will be appropriate for submission, regardless of genre, especially if their development has lead to label and fan interest. Artists based outside of the United States are unlikely to be signed unless they have significant market history and development in the US already.

Simon Says prides itself on operating the agency differently than others, noting that although they handle rock stars, they don't act like rock stars themselves. Their motto is “We Are Here to Help You.” That philosophy permeates relationships with client bands as well as talent buyers around the country. The company has grown in sales 10-50% every year since its inception including 50% growth three years ago in 2005.

While there are typically 10-20 bands on the Simon Says roster, up to 100 other bands can be freelanced in any given year. Many bands who were not chosen for exclusive representation in the past were offered freelance work through the agency. Their bands have played major festivals from coast to coast, and many buyers lean on Simon Says to supply them with new talent and to search out the most interesting and professional musicians touring today.
