The Simple Shoes ® Road to Reeperbahn contest gives one talented band a slot to play at the Reeperbahn Festival and 3600 EUR in cash to get there! This contest is open to bands from the UK, Northern Ireland Germany and the Netherlands and submissions are FREE, courtesy of Simple Shoes ® your stereotypical, anti-stereotypical sustainable sneaker company. In early June, all eligible bands who submit will be featured on the Simple Shoes Road to Reeperbahn website, where your fans and fans of Simple Shoes can discover and download cool, new music like yours. The 50 bands with the most downloads will move on to be reviewed by a panel of judges from Simple Shoes and the Reeperbahn Festival.
The ten resulting finalists will get Simple shoes and a top secret mission to create a video for fans to vote on. The band whose video receives the most votes will play at Reeperbahn ® a 3-day music festival on the Hamburger Reeperbahn, featuring over 150 live shows on more than 20 stages in front of 15,000 festival goers and 3600 EUR to get there. This year's festival takes place September 23-25, 2010.
All bands who submit will get a coupon for 30% off any purchase at Simple's European e-commerce websites.

About a gazillion pairs later--give or take a few--we've learned a few things, like HOW we make our shoes is just as important as WHY we make them. That means finding more sustainable ways of making shoes that look and feel great, so we can make a gazillion more.

How to Enter: Enter online at www.sonicbids.com/simpleshoes, complete the entry form, upload a song and complete a Sonicbids Electronic Press Kit (EPK). The 10 finalists will be required to submit a video to be eligible to win a prize.
Entry Restrictions: Contest open to residents over 18 years of age in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands ONLY.
License: By entering the contest, bands are granting Promoter a perpetual, worldwide license to use song and video, and to make them available for free download for a period of one year.
Prize: A grand prize of a spot for your band to perform at the 2010 Reeperbahn Music Festival, a 3600 stipend to be used towards travel expenses to/from the Festival and a pair of Simple ® shoes for each current band member. Nine remaining finalists will receive a pair of Simple ® shoes for each current band member.
