Six gifted contest winners will choose from six different prize packages, including an exclusive recording session with producer Steve Williams (Sting, Eric Clapton, Seal) in London, England; one week songwriting retreat in Stockholm, Sweden; television and film placement; 8 week US college and community radio promotion; record mixing and mastering; and CD duplication.

As part of the prize, selected songs will also be non-exclusively represented by We Are Listening and supported through global digital distribution, sync licensing administration and online promotion. Catering to all genres of music and artists around the world - signed or unsigned - The Singer/Songwriter Awards is your opportunity to get your music heard, promoted and sold.


Prizes


Selected artists will have a choice of one of the following six prize packages:


1. Recording Session in London, England

Two day recording session at Sphere Studios London, one of the top recording studios in the UK, with producer Steve Williams (Sting, Eric Clapton, Seal) and engineer, Francesco Cameli (Duran Duran, NIN, Phil Collins), and up to five session musicians if necessary. Two nights at the luxurious myHotel Bloomsbury, international/domestic flights and local transportation is included.


2. Songwriter’s Retreat in Stockholm, Sweden

Six nights at the Phrased Differently resort. Phrased Differently Music Publishing has achieved over 150 international song placements since 2006, half of which from writers who attended their retreat. Writers that have attended in the past have had songs released by Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Joss Stone, Craig David, Whitney Houston, Rob Thomas, Faith Hill, Will Young, Lilly Allen, John Legend, Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Clarkson, Tim McGraw, Bon Jovi and many more.


3. Television and Film Placement

Representation for three months by We Are Listening Publishing with a goal of obtaining a minimum of three individual (network sized) licenses for either film or television. Affiliation with a US performing rights organization (ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC) is not necessary but highly recommended.


4. College and Community Radio Promotion

Three hundred and fifty (on average) radio station-mailing campaign (approx. eight weeks) serviced by Tinderbox Music. A radio "add date" will be selected. Thereafter, the product, with a radio "one-sheet", shall be serviced to all the participating stations. All submissions are fully supported throughout the eight-week campaign with weekly tracking calls and reports to the artist. Only reporting stations shall be serviced. An industry standard "one-sheet" will be provided as well as all mailing materials for the artist.


5. Album Mix and Mastering

Full album mixing and mastering by either We Are Listening’s in-house mix and mastering engineers or outsourced professionals, depending on the project schedule and the artist’s location.


6. CD duplication

1000 retail-ready audio CDs (4 panel digipak, full colour on-disc, poly-wrap and UPC bar code). Artist must provide the artwork.
